Hydrophilic Nanodots (CTDot-GYR Kit) Technical Specifications

Description

Highly luminescent semiconductor nanodots coated with hydrophilic organic molecules.

Composition

CdSe spherical core capped with epitaxial ZnS shell. The surface hydrophilic layer contains carboxyl groups through which nanodots may be easily attached to proteins, antibodies and oligonucleotides.

Shipping form

Aqueous solution in a triply distilled water. The indicated weight of nanodots relates to the CdSe core only and does not include ZnS cap and organic shell.

Storage

Sealed container, keep in dark, store at 4°C, do not freeze!

Self-life

6 months unopened.

Solubility

Soluble in water and phosphate and TRIS buffers. Not soluble in alcohols, hydrocarbons, chloroorganics, etc.
