Hydrophobic highly luminescent CdSe/ZnS core-shell nanorodsUpon a request the core-shell CdSe/ZnS nanorods may be synthesized and delivered with the emission peak in the spectral diapason of 570-660 nm. The typical spectral parameters of core-shell nanorods approach those for the nanodots with the spectral linewidth of 30-40 nm and the emission quantum yield up to 30%. The core-shell nanorods are the unique emitting materials: each individual nanorod absorbs and emits strongly polarized light. The core-shell nanorods may be utilized as specific fluorescent markers sensitive to polarized light, building blocks for the nanooptoelectronic devices, etc. Order hydrophobic core-shell nanorods here.
